LOVE: WHAT IS IT & WHY
WHAT?
“Love is one of the primary “human impulses” that is at the core of coming together … at the core of dissolving separation … “ (A.H. Almass).
Love is a resource that welcomes, listens, and respects our differences. It opens compassionate space for constructive engagement, acceptance, and peaceful solutions.
WHY LOVE?
Love is compassion, awareness, and acceptance and it helps us heal and emerge from grief with more of our wholeness. It also has the power to reset humanity’s current direction of division, tension, and lack of belongingness. When we engage in activities that expand awareness and cultivate compassion:
- Our mind is clearer when emotions arise;
- We better manage stress activators: grief, frustration, impatience, judgment, and anger;
- We are more resilient and recognize activators and disrupters;
- We are more inclined to seek kindness toward ourselves and while interacting with others;
- Our intentions, thoughts, words, and actions are more apt to soften and build connections; and
- We better understand ourselves, which helps us open up to understanding others.
“If you grow in awareness, you will grow in love.” Osho
